The Hozelock bioforce 8000 is a combined garden pond filter and Ultra Violet pond Clarifier.

All Bioforce garden pond filter models where improved in 2007 and offer high performance filtration through a combination of the mechanical, biological and UVC filtration. The Hozelock Bioforce 8000 uvc pond filter is capable of treating ponds up to 8000 litres (1760 gallons) in size. As with the majority of pond filters it is best to purchase a model that will handle a larger volume of water than the manufactures recommended maximum size. For best results we advise a filter with a maximum size around 20% larger than your pond volume, to ensure adequate filtration and clear water even in direct sunlight and with a heavy stock level. For example a pond filter that is rated at up to 500 (2200L) gallons maximum will in most situations be best suited to no more than about 400 gallons (1800L).
