The origin of Shut the box compendium is unknown but the game can be traced back to 19th Century in France. The game did not appear in England, however, until the mid 20th Century. Now the games compendium set is hugely popular globally.

Shut the Box is a dice game for one or more players. The object of the game is to cover all the numbers, or 'shut the box' according to who throws the dice. The Shut the Box Compendium of course can be played by many players with all its fantastic different shut the box games!

Jaques' shut the box dice (5 poker and 2 regular dice) and playing cards. Compendium set features solid hand crafted Mahogany construction and a baize lined tray.
