Due to the adverse weather conditions, we advise all customers to exercise caution when travelling to Poplar Tree Garden Centre BUT both Brambles Coffee Shop & Poplar Tree Garden Centre are OPEN as usual during normal working hours.

If you would like to stay indoors, then please feel free to purchase your items online and we will ensure your delivery is with you as soon as possible.

Better still, pop down to Brambles for some nice warm food and a Hot Chocolate or Coffee and relax while browsing around the garden centre.

Brambles Coffee Shop is located within Poplar Tree Garden Centre which is just one mile from Durham City but with the added benefit of free parking.

The coffee shop is located in a beautiful timber building and can seat up to 80 customers with outdoor seating of 100 and a marquee seating a further 50. Brambles coffee shop lies within yards of the River Wear with a view of the "Durham Grand Canyon" over the river at Houghall from the relaxing riverside walk .

Relax Amongst the Flowers

Inside the Coffee Shop is an array of indoor plants to help you relax. When the weather allows there is a patio area ooutside the coffee shop where you will find wooden tables and chairs with green parasols. Sitting among the most fabulous hanging baskets in full bloom and watching people wandering through the garden centre, will make you feel miles away from Durham City in somewhere much more tropical.
